Rogues Gallery

I’m getting sick and tired of the way people behave just because the car has L plates and driving school livery. My pupils don’t drive slowly, but these idiots just have to get past. So this page is dedicated to them… and all pictures are stills from video footage, so no danger from my side!

Idiot In Merc A special mention for this silver Mercedes (reg. no. WU58 PWL). It was on the A338, between Collingbourne Ducis and Tidworth. It overtook unnecessarily on a blind bend and got stuck behind another car and forcing me to drop back. Just before Tidworth it pulled over – probably because the occupants – a male and female – had to do something with the toddler in the back seat! That’s right, they had a very young child in the back, and the male driver was driving like a total dickhead on country lanes. Talk about unfit parents.

Quite a few BMWs in this lot.

J.A.B Projects

J.A.B Projects - WF07 VTU

This one (reg no. WF07 VTU) deserves a special mention. I came to the end of Nuthall Road to turn right on to Western Boulevard. There is a single right-turn only lane – the two lanes to the left are ahead-only and left/ahead. This jackass driving the J.A.B Projects van was ihn the middle (ahead-only) lane. As the lights changed, he shot forward and cut in front of me on the junction. He then proceeded to make a number of dangerous in-and-out manoeuvres along Western Boulevard. When we got to the Crown Island, he went into the right-only lane, shot forward as far as he could, then cut in in front of the traffic to continue along the ring road. He diappeared at speed once the speed cameras ended.
People Who Cut Me Up This Week This is a list of some of the idiots who have cut me – or my pupils – up during the last week or so (of July 2010):

  • KD07 YBB
  • Y722 SUD
  • SC 0793G (Polish plates)
  • Y621 EUG (or Y621 EVG)
  • S898 UEV
  • K1 HDP
  • BV59 GOH
  • AF06 YNC
  • PNJ 48L
  • FE59 OZW (or FE55 OZW)
  • R847 RJO

Crimes include:

  • cutting in at traffic lights
  • cutting across right when we’re going straight ahead
  • undertaking
  • pulling out of junctions when there isn’t space

But hey, it’s a learner so they have right of way, don’t they?

Several Audis, a few look-how-much-we-spent wagons, and plenty of pratmobiles.

AD09 VZG and FH56 LHN

AD09 VZG and FH56 LHN

13/04/2010, around 1pm. Two of ‘em at once. My pet hate is people forcing their way in at traffic lights – but doubly so when there is a queue.Lady Bay Bridge has temporary lights up at the moment, so traffic tails back into the box junction. Anyone forcing their way in just causes it to tail back further. The prat in Jaguar (reg no. AD09 VZG) thought about it, then decided to go for it by pulling out and moving to the position shown here. Then, the Hyundai Inadequacy-mobile turned up alongside just to the right edge (the motorbike isn’t so much of a problem because they drive like this all the time and don’t really get in the way). He was twitching forward all the time (reg no. FH56 LHN), to make sure he managed to get in front of us.As expected, everyone had to stop to let them both in on the other side.

SKZ 3753

SKZ 3753

12/07/2010, around 8pm. Just picked a pupil up for my last lesson of the day, and came to a stop at temporary lights going down Mansfield Road. As the lights changed, this pratmobile (reg no. SKZ 3753) came up on the outside at speed and just cut in.

RV09 EXN

RV09 EXN

Radcliffe Road, late afternoon during rush hour traffic, this joker in an Audi (reg no. RV09 EXN) just had to get one extra car in front at a merge after traffic lights. Caused my pupil to swerve towards the kerb.

KS07 XVA

KS07 XVA

Just me in the car on this one. This idiot (reg no. KS07 XVA) saw me coming along Loughborough Road (opposite Asda), and in spite of there not being space for him to drive away from the side of the road without causing me to jam on the brakes, he did just that.

KA57 FXR

KA57 FXR

This one (reg no. KA57 FXR) caused my pupil to brake hard by undertaking in a bus lane in busy traffic near to traffic lights and roadworks on Alfreton Road.
